What does this mean?
We successfully received an email at your dedicated advertiser-inbox but the email did not contain a usable attachments. Attachments must be .CSV or .ZIP files. The report cannot be a URL link.
What can cause this issue and how to address it?
Determine the root cause by sequentially reviewing the possible causes below:
Case #1: The report is Excel file format, not CSV [Uncommon]
- How to identify if this is the issue? Find and open the “Report Setup” for your scheduled report in DCM. Is the “File type” is set to “Excel”? If so, this is the issue.
- How to address? Set the File type to “CSV”.
Case #2: The scheduled report is being sent as link instead of an attachment [Uncommon]
- How to identify if this is the issue? Within the “Delivery” section, click “Add People” next to the email recipient to open the Sharing Settings. Next to the recipient’s email, is the report being sent as a Link, instead of an Attachment. If so, this is the issue.
- How to address? Change it to an “Attachment”. Save the report and then run it.
